Kantipur City College (KCC) is one of the branding and rapidly growing colleges in the field of IT, Engineering, Management, and Mass Communication. It is situated in the heart of Kathmandu valley at Putalisadak nearby Lalupate Marga. From its beginning in 2000 AD, it acts as a pioneer college in the field of IT and Engineering education.

Perhaps there is no any technical field where Kantipur City College contribution has not been seen. Because of its changing adaptability to meet the demand of time, now it becomes popular within the Purbanchal University itself and favorite among students.

Its main motto is to focus on student-centric development through innovative education, updated training, and career build-up opportunities. Besides, it pays special attention to producing technical human resources by transmitting knowledge and skills to the student. That’s why this college glory is rapidly increasing day by day.

On three days program from July 1-3 in the united world trade center, many colleges affiliated to Purbanchal University meet up was conducted for the promotion and upliftment of this university. During this first ever education fair, all the PU colleges including Kantipur City College play a remarkable role to bring all colleges within the same roof for PU promotion. During this education fair, Er. Rabi Shrestha (principal of Kantipur City College) gave his valuable speech on “what are the basic things the student needs to know before choosing any IT related colleges.”

He told that lots of IT colleges are growing like mushroom within the Kathmandu valley itself. And it becomes tough for a student to choose the right college in the glitzy and fashionable competition. So Students need to  know before choosing any college like which college has less turn over, timely achievement of academic calendar or not, after pass out what students did, Is there job placement possibilities or not, on every semester project work is conducted or not, and finally feedback from Students studying there – is typical one. If these things are kept in mind all the problems will be eradicated, he told.

In addition to this, He told that all the negative issues on the market about Purbanchal University like not conducting timely examination and results, four years course may extend up to 6 years, etc. have been solved from past two years. So now students can feel secure on regular examination and timely publication of results.

In Kantipur City College, these things never make any sense due to our updated course and appropriate procedure. It has four schools like a school of engineering, school of science and technology, school of business and management and school of humanities and social sciences. Besides it is offering ten programs, 1 Professional Study Department and 2 Research Units. About 1152 graduated, i.e., 974 Bachelors and 178 Masters are enrolled within this college. It has trained more than 500 students in different global certification programs like CCNA, RHCE.

Similarly, it provides lots of facilities to the students like Library and resources center, sports and recreation, computer center, qualified and senior faculties, etc. So it is emerging as a center of excellence for quality education and training as it aims at improving the potentiality of students besides developing their capacity to tackle real-life problems.
