Federation of Computer Association Nepal is hosting CAN Infotech 2018, a mega event of Nepal’s information, communication, and entertainment technology sector from 25 January at Bhrikutimandap. CAN Federation has been organizing the expo every year since 1995 with an aim to promote the ICT industry of Nepal and increase people’s awareness of technology.

Every year, all the people with an interest in ICT come together to witness the program. This event has been developed as a platform for various national and international ICT companies to launch and exhibit the latest technologies and bring out exciting offers. Thus, many people eagerly wait for the event to begin.

Varieties of companies participating in the game including the hardware and software companies and internet service providers are introducing various offers and attractions for the visitors.


There will be 49 Branded stalls inside the main hall, and five branded stalls outside. Likewise, there will be 144 stalls on the truss, 14 open spaces, ten food stalls, making a large 222 stalls altogether in the event. There will be an exhibition of IT products and services related to power solution, mobile accessories, hardware sales and maintenance, internet service providers, telecommunication, software, and payment solutions, among others. Subisu Cablenet Pvt. Ltd. is the title sponsor of the event this year, whereas Motorola Nepal is the associate sponsor.


A separate software pavilion, with a total of 44 stalls is being set up at the event this year to exhibit the software produced by Nepali companies and promote Nepali startups and technological products. In this pavilion, there will be an exhibition of various ICT products and visitors will be informed about the evolution of technological development in Nepal. Visitors will also be provided with information about the careers and prospects in the IT sector of Nepal.

Likewise, IT and Engineering students will also be exhibiting their project works, whereas startups will be getting a direct opportunity to promote their business. The entry fee has been fixed at Rs 100 for general visitors, whereas for students it has been set at Rs 50.


Sunday, January 28, has been announced as ‘Business Day,’ with Rs. 100 entry fee for all. On that day, especially business houses can carry out business deals with various dealers and vendors to promote their businesses.


All the significant activities from expo are set to be streamed live via Live CCTV Nepal.
