Udhyami 101, is the one-day program where the people who intend to have their own business or have just started their business come to learn the basics of starting a trade from the most vibrant leaders and entrepreneurs of Nepal.
Designed especially for the aspiring entrepreneurs and early-stage founders in Nepal, Udhyami101 will also be beneficial for the university students, graduates, professionals and anyone who would want to start his/her own venture in the near future where they can learn more about the fundamentals of being an entrepreneur and need and importance of startup ecosystem.
The program is divided into four major sections;
1. Keynote on “Fundamentals of being an Entrepreneur”
2. Panel Discussion on “Basics of Starting a Business”
3. Introduction to Startup Companies from Udhyami Seed Camp
4. Keynote on “Ecosystem for Entrepreneurs in Nepal”
Speakers:
Rudra Pandey is a Nepali entrepreneur, currently serving as Executive Chairman of Deerwalk Inc., a healthcare analytics company based in Lexington, Massachusetts. He also serves as Chairman of Deerwalk Institute of Technology.
Before founding Deerwalk and Deerwalk Institute of Technology, Pandey co-founded D2Hawkeye where he served as Chief Technology Officer. After its acquisition by Verisk Analytics, D2Hawkeye became Verisk Health where Pandey served as Chief Operating Officer. D2Hawkeye was a recipient of Governor’s Entrepreneurial Spirit Award in 2005.
Narottam Aryal:
Mr. Narottam Aryal is the Executive Director at King’s College, Kathmandu, Nepal. He has been with this college for the last four years.
Since his graduation in 1999, he has been working with Nepalese higher education especially in the field of business and entrepreneurship. He obtained his Master in Public Administration from Tribhuvan University, Kathmandu, Nepal and M. Phil. in Public Policy from University of Bergen, Norway. Management Association of Nepal awarded the Manager of the Year 2013.
