Ram Bahadur Manandhar appointed as the Chairman of NCHL
Ram Bahadur Manandhar, Executive Director of Banking Department, Nepal Rastra Bank, has been appointed as the Chairman of Nepal Clearing House Ltd. through its 169th board meeting, corresponding to which oath from the Deputy Governor Dr. Neelam Dhungana Timsina of Nepal Rastra Bank has been taken on 21st March 2021. The representation of NRB at the board of NCHL was recently changed after the transfer of Mr. Naresh Shakya, Executive Director at NRB.
NCHL board representation includes one from NRB, three from commercial banks, one from development banks, and one from finance companies. NCHL is a public limited company promoted by Nepal Rastra Bank and the majority of the banks & financial institutions for establishing multiple national payment systems in Nepal. It has been operating NCHL-ECC, NCHL-IPS, connect-IPS, connect-RTGS, NPI, and CORPORATEPAY systems.
