10 Lakh Insurance Policy Wedding Gifts
15-Year Term with Full Coverage
The policy is set for a 15-year term. Subbaman has promised to pay the insurance premiums for the entire period. The gift was officially handed over to Muna by Narayan Suvedi, the Chief Business Manager at National Life Insurance’s Kalanki branch. Suvedi traveled to Muna’s home in Siddhalek, Dhading, for the ceremony.
Replacing Dowry with Security
Subbaman explained that he chose to give the insurance policy instead of participating in the traditional dowry system. He believes this approach secures his sister’s future. The policy will offer financial protection for Muna and her family.
A Safety Net for the Future
Subbaman also pointed out that the policy could help Muna’s husband if they face any financial troubles. In such a case, the policy could be used as collateral for a loan. After the 15 years, the policy will mature, providing further support to Muna and her family.
A New Approach to Family Support
Subbaman’s gift is carefully designed to provide lasting financial security for his sister, Muna, ensuring her well-being and stability in the future. He emphasized that this thoughtful gesture goes beyond merely offering financial protection.
By choosing an insurance policy instead of participating in the traditional dowry system, Subbaman aims to challenge and ultimately end the outdated practice of dowry.
He believes that his gift not only safeguards Muna’s future but also sends a strong message about the importance of changing cultural norms for the betterment of women’s lives. This step reflects his commitment to empowering his sister and promoting a more progressive approach to family support.
