The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, Meteorological Forecasting Division, has reported that the monsoon trough is currently positioned near its average location over Nepal, with moisture-laden winds from the Arabian Sea and Bay of Bengal intensifying weather activity.

According to the forecast, the weather will remain generally cloudy across the country this afternoon. Moderate rainfall is likely in some hilly areas of Bagmati and Lumbini Provinces, as well as in scattered locations elsewhere.
Heavy rainfall is expected at one or two places in the hilly regions of Koshi, Bagmati, and Karnali Provinces, along with the lowland areas of Lumbini Province.
Tonight, cloudy skies will continue in the hilly areas of Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, and Gandaki Provinces. Moderate rainfall is predicted in some parts of Madhesh Province, as well as in Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki Provinces.
The Division has further indicated the possibility of heavy rainfall at one or two places in Madhesh Province and in the hilly regions of Koshi and Bagmati Provinces.
Authorities have warned that heavy rainfall may trigger landslides and flash floods, while water levels in rivers and streams could rise, potentially disrupting transportation.
The public has been urged to stay alert and take precautionary measures.
