5th Cohort of Otharo Incubation Program
The 5th Cohort of the Otharo Incubation Program has officially commenced from today, reaffirming its long-standing commitment to nurturing entrepreneurship and strengthening Nepal’s start-up ecosystem.
Facilitated by the Otharo Incubation Program at King’s College, the six-month incubation program is designed to support aspiring entrepreneurs in transforming innovative ideas into profitable and scalable business ventures.
The chosen start-ups, including Mr. Waffles, Tumlet Games, Aether Social Lab, Studio Britanta, and KnowledgeApp, among others, will be immersed in continuous learning workshops, coaching sessions, iterative business model development, gap-based mentoring, and sector-specific access to finance and networking.
The program also aims at equipping other selected startups like eSahara, Paramendo Nepal, Lexana, The Nepal Newsletter, Yarsa Agro Research, Sano Engineer, and Samparka Digital Loyalty with robust business models and plans to support future scaling and acceleration.
According to King’s College, the inception of the 5th Cohort of Otharo Incubation marks the beginning of a structured incubation journey aimed at facilitating early-stage startups with the right skills, mindset, tools, and networks necessary for sustainable growth.
“Early support and the right environment can significantly shape a startup’s trajectory,” said Yomoo Bajracharya, Incubation Officer at King’s College. “Through Otharo, we aim to create a space where emerging founders receive the guidance, accountability, and community they need to grow sustainably.”
Since its inception in 2013, the program has supported more than 50 ventures, contributing meaningfully to the development and resilience of Nepal’s growing entrepreneurial ecosystem.
Othāro is a comprehensive six-month incubation program tailored for startups and early-stage enterprises that have developed prototypes or have begun generating sales and are seeking greater strategic clarity and sustainable expansion. Through structured mentorship, milestone-based progress tracking, and hands-on guidance, the program helps founders refine their business models and prepare for their next stage of development.
Participants of the Otharo Incubation Program can expect transformative outcomes that extend beyond the duration of the six-month incubation journey. The program is designed to support the development of sustainable and scalable business ventures by strengthening foundational strategy, operational structure, and long-term vision.
In addition, eligible teams can gain access to finance, enabling them to accelerate growth and operational expansion.
Beyond financial access, the program cultivates meaningful networking, partnership, and collaboration opportunities by connecting entrepreneurs with experienced mentors, ecosystem leaders, financial institutions, and industry stakeholders.
By fostering these connections and providing structured support, Otharo aims to build resilient startups that are well-equipped to scale within Nepal and explore opportunities in regional and international markets.
