Biratnagar Kings have officially welcomed two high-profile international cricketers, New Zealand’s explosive opener Martin Guptill and American-Indian all-rounder Shubham Ranjane for the Nepal Premier League (NPL) Season 2.
Biratnagar Kings Welcomes Martin Guptill
One of the most accomplished white-ball batsmen in the world, Guptill is renowned for his powerful stroke play, world-class experience, and ability to dominate the top order.
With over a decade of international cricket, including multiple World Cup appearances, his presence adds exceptional depth and confidence to the Kings’ batting lineup.
Joining him is Shubham Ranjane, born in Pune, Maharashtra, India, Shubham made his first-class debut for Mumbai in the 2016–17 Ranji Trophy and has since represented several domestic teams, including Maharashtra, Mumbai, Goa, and more recently, the Seattle Orcas in Major League Cricket. He also joined the Dhaka Capitals in 2025, showing his experience in international T20 leagues.

Guptill and Ranjane join a strong roster featuring international stars like Faf du Plessis, George Munsey, Sam Heazlett, along with a talented group of Nepali players. Their arrival further reinforces Biratnagar Kings’ ambition to make a commanding title run this season.
