ADBL Supports Three Damaged Government Offices in Pokhara

Agricultural Development Bank Limited (ADBL) has extended crucial material support to three government offices in Pokhara that sustained damage during the nationwide “GenZ” protests held on September 8 and 9 (Bhadra 23 and 24, 2082).

This initiative falls under the bank’s ongoing Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program and is specifically targeted at restoring efficient public service delivery at the affected institutions.
Beneficiary Offices and Support Details
The assistance provided by ADBL, aimed at replacing damaged equipment and ensuring operational continuity, was distributed to three key public service providers in the Kaski district.
Recipient Offices: The three government offices that received material support were:
District Traffic Police Office Kaski
Kaski District Court
Malpot (Land Revenue) Office Kaski
Value of Support: Each of the three offices received essential equipment and materials valued at approximately NPR 100,000, demonstrating a targeted and immediate intervention to restore functionality.
Support Items: The materials provided were critical for re-establishing operational capacity, including:
- Power backup systems
- Computers
- Printers
- Other essential equipment
These items are fundamental to the daily administrative and documentation tasks necessary for effective public service delivery.
Formal Handover and Stakeholder Collaboration
The handover of the support materials was conducted during a formal event in Pokhara, highlighting the collaborative spirit between the public sector, the financial institution, and local business organizations.
ADBL Representation: The support materials were formally handed over by Ghanendra Adhikari, the Director of ADBL’s Gandaki Province Office. Director Adhikari expressed the bank’s aim, stating that the support was intended to help the damaged offices resume essential public services effectively and emphasized the need for responsible utilization of the materials for the benefit of service seekers.
Recipient Representatives: The Kaski District Court received the support in the presence of its Judge and Registrar Rajan Khanal, ensuring top-level acknowledgment of the assistance. The support to the Malpot (Land Revenue) Office Kaski was facilitated in coordination with the local Federation of Industry and Commerce.
Other Attendees: The ceremony saw the presence of representatives from the Industry and Commerce Association and the Bankers Association, underscoring the broad-based support from the private and financial sectors for the restoration of public services.
