31st December 2025, Kathmandu
The Innovative Computer Engineering Students’ Society (Join TechParva 2026) is a student-led non-profit technical organization with a strong motive to educate, promote, explore, research, and compete in the field of computer engineering.
Join TechParva 2026
With its base at IOE, Pashchimanchal Campus, Pokhara, i-CES serves as a hub for innovation, collaboration, and technical growth. i-CES is dedicated to providing an active platform for students with a keen interest in the limitless possibilities of various technological disciplines.
Within a largely theory-oriented teaching environment, i-CES actively conducts hands-on workshops, seminars, training programs, and timely competitions aimed at making the learning process more engaging, interactive, and enjoyable, while bringing students closer to real-world applications.
Building upon this mission, TechParva stands as the flagship annual event organized by i-CES. Since its inception in 2023, TechParva has evolved into a dynamic technological festival that brings together students from schools, colleges, and universities across Nepal.
The event features a diverse range of skill-based competitions, workshops, and collaborative activities in all fields, including data science, competitive programming, design incubation, and cybersecurity challenges, designed to foster innovation, critical thinking, and real-world problem-solving.
Through TechParva, i-CES continues its commitment to empowering young minds, strengthening collaboration, and cultivating a vibrant and capable tech community.
A. About the Event
Continuing the success of previous iterations, Kangaroo Education Foundation proudly presents TechParva 2026 -4th Annual Technological Festival, powered by Yashi Academy.
Scheduled to take place from Poush 20–22, this flagship event promises an exciting blend of innovation, learning, and competition.
The main event will feature the following four events from different domains, designed to challenge participants’ technical skills, foster creativity, and encourage collaboration. Participants will have opportunities to showcase their talent and explore the latest trends in technology.
BabyPWN: Capture the Flag
The BabyPWN event will begin with a beginner-friendly session to help the participants understand the basic ideas of cybersecurity and how they are related to the competition.
This will be a short introduction before jumping into the real challenges. Following this, the CTF tournament will put those skills of participants to the test.
This will be a team game where they will work through clues and data to uncover the hidden flags using their critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
As cybersecurity continues to be one of the most sought-after domains, this event is designed to introduce newcomers to cybersecurity, encourage teamwork, and spark a genuine interest in the field.
Design Incubation
The Design Incubation event will include both a workshop and a competition. This workshop will help participants get familiar with design principles and approaches to make interfaces clear, attractive, and user-friendly.
This will help them to cope with the basic design mistakes that every beginner makes and be more productive. After the workshop, there will be a competition to put the acquired skills of the participants to the test.
A prompt will be provided with a problem statement, and the participants are required to design an end-to-end digital product from concept to final interface using Figma.
This includes ideation, user flow, wireframing, and high-fidelity UI design. This event will provide a platform for participants to showcase their talent, tackle real-world challenges, and push their creativity even further.
Datathon
The Datathon event will also include both a workshop and a competition. This workshop centers around the fast-growing world of artificial intelligence and machine learning.
This event will especially focus on data preprocessing tasks where participants will learn key techniques for cleaning, preparing, and understanding the data. After the end of the workshop, the participants will put their skills to the test in a friendly competition.
A dataset will be provided, and the teams will work on analysis of the data, finding hidden patterns and insights, and then train a machine learning model based on what they’ve learned.
At the end of the competition, the participants will present their results along with their problem-solving approach and analytical ability. The event aims to inspire emerging talent in a time when the world is rapidly leaning toward artificial intelligence.
Code With Coffee
Code With Coffee is a coding competition that is created for students who enjoy competitive coding. Each participant within the same category will be provided with the same set of tasks, time limit, and programming language of their choice.
This event aims to establish a strong DSA culture among students, helping them build the problem-solving mindset required for technical interviews and real-world software engineering challenges.
To ensure fairness and encourage wider participation, the competition will have two categories: one for 1st- and 2nd-year students and the other for 3rd- and 4th-year students.
In the lead-up to the main event, i-CES organizes a series of workshops and mentorship programs to prepare participants, especially newcomers, for TechParva.
These include CTF, design incubation, and datathon workshops, which familiarize attendees with the structure and expectations of the main events. i-CES also provides roadmap sessions to help newcomers navigate the tech landscape, along with month-long mentorship programs offering personalized guidance in their chosen domains, preparing them for TechParva as well as the vast opportunities the tech field has to offer.
Also, pre-event activities featuring fun games set an exciting tone and create an engaging environment ahead of the main event. This comprehensive preparation ensures participants are confident, skilled, and ready to make the most of TechParva.
B. Impact on the Tech Community
TechParva has steadily grown into a flagship event that significantly impacts the tech community, and 2026 marks its fourth edition. Over the years, it has sparked widespread interest among students in various fields of technology.
Programs like Code with Coffee have motivated participants to enhance their problem-solving skills, particularly in data structures and algorithms, while the Capture the Flag competitions have ignited curiosity and passion for cybersecurity.
The Datathon has inspired learners to explore the world of machine learning and artificial intelligence, and Design Incubation has encouraged participants to transform creative ideas into practical, innovative solutions, fostering entrepreneurial thinking and problem-solving.
Together, these events have guided many participants toward careers in these domains who were once attendees of the festival.
In addition to TechParva, i-CES has actively promoted student engagement through other initiatives, including the first-ever Hacktoberfest, which witnessed enthusiastic participation from students.
Through this initiative, i-CES encouraged students to actively engage with the global open-source community by contributing to 52+ open-source projects, collaborating with developers worldwide, and embracing a culture of open innovation.
By consistently providing platforms for hands-on learning and collaboration, i-CES continues to bridge the gap between classroom learning and real-world technological trends, encouraging students to align their skills with the demands of the evolving tech landscape.
Many alumni have expressed their gratitude, sharing that TechParva was their starting point in the tech field, helping shape their career paths and kickstart their journeys into the industry.
By consistently providing platforms for learning, collaboration, and innovation, TechParva and i-CES not only enhance technical skills but also foster a motivated, skilled, and forward-thinking tech community, inspiring the next generation of innovators and problem-solvers.
