Hult Prize at IOE, Pulchowk Campus, in association with Hima Aus Offshore, successfully concluded the second session of its Talk Series on Design Thinking & Human-Centered Innovation yesterday at Embark College, Pulchowk.

The workshop, held from 1:30 PM to 3:00 PM, attracted students and social impact enthusiasts eager to learn about empathy-driven design approaches.
The session featured Samaya Khadka, CEO of Sharing Opportunities and a renowned changemaker in Nepal’s youth empowerment sector, as the guest speaker. Khadka brought his extensive experience of over eight years as a trainer and facilitator to guide participants through the principles of design thinking and user-focused innovation.
As a co-founder of COVID Connect Nepal and current CEO of Sharing Opportunities, Samaya Khadka has established himself as a leader in connecting young people with meaningful career opportunities.
His expertise spans leadership development, problem-solving, and design thinking, having led more than 40 sessions for diverse audiences ranging from local Nepali communities to international institutions, including MIT. He has also contributed to academic discourse through co-authored papers on design thinking and innovation.
The interactive session provided participants with practical insights into crafting solutions that address real community needs. Attendees explored how human-centered design can transform ideas into impactful social enterprises, with particular emphasis on understanding target users and refining concepts based on genuine user experiences.
The workshop proved particularly valuable for participants preparing for the Hult Prize Challenge 2026, offering them a framework for developing innovative, user-focused entrepreneurial solutions.
The emphasis on empathy-driven design equipped attendees with tools to ensure their products and services genuinely resonate with their target communities.
