Who is Pawan Kumar Acharya? Sanima Bank’s New CEO & Banking Veteran

Pawan Kumar Acharya has commenced his tenure as the newly appointed Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Sanima Bank Limited, effective January 26, 2026.

In accordance with the decision of the Board of Directors of Sanima Bank Limited taken at its meeting held on Kartik 24, 2082 (November 10, 2025), Mr. Acharya was appointed as the Chief Executive Officer of the Bank.

Mr. Acharya has made significant contributions to Sanima Bank over the past 21 years. He holds a Master’s degree from Pittsburg State University, USA, and a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from MNIT, Jaipur, India. Among his academic achievements, he had secured third position in the SLC examination from Adarsha Vidya Mandir High School.

Before assuming the position of Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Acharya was serving as the Senior Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the Bank. During his long tenure at Sanima Bank, he led more than ten departments and branches.

His key areas of expertise include credit assessment, digitalization, and project financing. He also served as the Chairman of Sanima Capital. In addition to his banking career, Mr. Acharya has more than four years of professional experience as an engineer and has also served as a Visiting Faculty for five years.

Based on Mr. Acharya’s analytical skills, strategic thinking, and extensive banking experience, the Bank expressed its confidence that it will achieve further success and enhance its institutional reputation under his leadership.
