NTC MD Reena Dangol to Lead Nepal Telecom’s Digital Transformation

In a significant leadership transition for the nation’s largest telecommunications provider, Reena Dangol has been appointed as the Acting Managing Director (MD) of Nepal Doorsanchar Company Limited (Nepal Telecom).

The decision, finalized at the Prime Ministerial and Ministerial level within the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology on February 4, 2026, marks the beginning of a new chapter for the state-owned utility. Ms. Dangol officially assumed her post on Friday, February 6, following the formal issuance of her appointment letter.
A Career Built on Technical Excellence
Reena Dangol is not a new face to the halls of Nepal Telecom. With a career spanning over 31 years, she is widely regarded as one of the most experienced technical leaders in the Nepalese telecom sector.
Educational Foundation: She holds a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Electronics and Electrical Engineering from Bangladesh University.
Decades of Service: Dangol entered the telecommunications sector in May 1994 (2051 BS) as a temporary engineer. Her steady ascent through the ranks is a testament to her expertise and commitment.
Strategic Leadership: Before stepping into the role of Acting MD, she served as the Chief Technical Officer (CTO) and Deputy Managing Director. Her resume includes successful stints leading the Provincial Directorates in Biratnagar and Kathmandu, as well as the Wireline and Customer Service Directorate.
