Nabil Bank Launches Free Burn Treatment Camp in Surkhet
10th April 2026, Kathmandu
Nabil Bank, in collaboration with Pradesh Hospital Surkhet and technical support from PHECT Nepal, is conducting a “Nabil Free Burn Treatment Camp” from April 9 to 11, 2026 (Chaitra 27–29).
Nabil Bank Free Burn Treatment Camp
The bank stated that the camp aims to provide consultations, treatments, and surgical services to underprivileged citizens suffering from long-term complications due to burn injuries.
The bank expects approximately 50 burn survivors to benefit from the camp in Surkhet. Patients with complex cases will be referred to Kirtipur Hospital in Kathmandu, with the bank facilitating the arrangements for their free treatment.
As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), Nabil Bank plans to extend these free burn camps to Lumbini Province and to Janakpur and Birgunj in Madhesh Province.
Previously, a similar camp held in Dhangadhi from February 23 to 25 provided free treatment to 65 patients. Among them, 20 underwent surgeries by senior surgeons at Seti Provincial Hospital, while 18 complex cases were referred to Sushma Koirala Memorial Hospital in Sankhu, Kathmandu.
The camp focuses on treating conditions such as Post-Burn Contractures (where body parts are fused due to scarring) and fused fingers. Additionally, individuals with congenital conditions like cleft lip, cleft palate, joined fingers, or extra digits can also receive consultations and treatment.
Burn victims require immediate and specialized care, yet many regions lack quality treatment centers. Nabil Bank stated that this initiative is a sincere effort to improve the quality of life for those living with the pain and disability caused by burn injuries.
Nabil Bank Limited is a leading commercial bank in Nepal, committed to creating positive social impact through its CSR initiatives and Nabil SSE (Social Entrepreneurship), which focuses on sustainable development and job creation.
