Nabil Bank Launches Entrepreneurship Training Across 16 Rural Locations in Nepal

Nabil Bank Limited has officially kicked off a specialized skill-based financial literacy and entrepreneurship development training program.

Targeted at the agricultural workforce, the initiative commenced on April 22, 2026 (Baisakh 9), in the Sinja Rural Municipality of Jumla.
The bank plans to expand this program to 15 additional rural locations across Nepal within the current fiscal year.
Empowering Rural Entrepreneurs
The initiative is a collaborative effort between Nabil Bank and local levels across six provinces: Koshi, Madhesh, Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpashchim.
The program aims to reach approximately 500 individuals who are either currently operating or planning to start agriculture-based businesses.
Key Learning Pillars
According to Manoj Kumar Gyawali, CEO of Nabil Bank, the training is designed to provide practical knowledge on several critical financial aspects, including:
Savings and Budgeting: Effective personal and business financial planning.
Loan Management: Understanding credit cycles and debt responsibility.
Insurance and Investment: Risk mitigation and exploring growth opportunities.
Business Marketing: Strategies to bring agricultural products to the wider market.
“Our goal is to empower participants through financial literacy, reduce unemployment, and promote sustainable economic growth by fostering new business ventures,” stated CEO Gyawali.
Focus on Sustainable Agriculture
The training is tailored to the specific interests of Nepalese farmers in rural areas. Participants will receive technical expertise and vocational skills in sectors such as:
Livestock Farming: Goat, pig, and buffalo rearing.
Horticulture: Mushroom and vegetable farming.
Market Integration: Identifying commercial opportunities and financial management.
