Nabil Nursing Room Kathmandu: Nabil Bank’s New Initiative for Employee Welfare

Nabil Bank Limited has taken a significant step toward employee welfare by inaugurating a dedicated Nabil Nursing Room at its central office in Teendhara, Kathmandu.

This initiative aims to provide a dignified, comfortable, and secure environment for breastfeeding mothers working at the bank.
The facility was officially inaugurated by Sarita Bhatta Adhikari, a member of the Board of Directors, by cutting the ribbon. The ceremony saw the presence of Chairman Nirvan Chaudhary, CEO Manoj Kumar Gyawali, and several high-ranking officials including board members Ananta Poudyal, Pravin Tibrewala, and Anil Keshary Shah, alongside Deputy CEOs Adarsh Bazgain and Bhupendra Pandey.
Prioritizing Employee Wellbeing and Gender Equality
Recognizing the challenges faced by working mothers, Nabil Bank established this nursing room to ensure that staff members can balance their professional responsibilities with childcare seamlessly.
During the event, Board Member Sarita Bhatta Adhikari emphasized the bank’s commitment:
“Through the initiation of this room, we have fulfilled a core responsibility toward our employees. It will give working mothers the peace of mind that they are in a safe environment with their children even while at the office.”

Chairman Nirvan Chaudhary highlighted that gender equality and employee welfare are foundational values of Nabil Bank. He noted that while the step might seem small, its impact on employee morale and workplace culture is profound. He further committed to expanding these facilities to other branches in the near future.
CEO Manoj Kumar Gyawali added that such initiatives foster a supportive work culture, proving that the bank truly cares for its human capital.
