United Cements’ Free Health Camp Benefits Local Residents of Dhunibesi

As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives, United Cements organized a free comprehensive health camp for the residents of Ward No. 9, Dhunibesi Municipality.

The health camp was conducted with the participation of a seven-member medical team from Megha Hospital, Lalitpur. The camp offered specialized healthcare services through General Physician Dr. Jamal Ashraf, Pediatrician Dr. Deepa Khanal, and Dental Surgeon Dr. Sangeeta Kumari. The medical team was led by the hospital’s coordinator, Shilpa Pokharel.
A total of 143 people received health check-ups and medical consultations during the camp. The beneficiaries ranged in age from 7-year-old children to 85-year-old senior citizens. Most of the participants were local residents of Ward No. 9, Dhunibesi Municipality, with women outnumbering men. In addition to health consultations, essential medicines were provided free of charge to those in need.
The program was attended by local elected representatives, social workers, and other distinguished members of the community. United Cements also distributed fruit juice (Frooti) and biscuits to all participants.
The event was coordinated by Dhanapati Sapkota, Head of Administration at United Cements, while the company’s General Manager, Hari Kumar Upreti, attended as the Chief Guest.
According to the attending doctors, the majority of patients were found to be suffering from back pain, lower back pain, and knee-related problems. The medical team also observed that many local residents do not undergo regular health check-ups.
Participants highlighted the importance of organizing such health camps on a regular basis to improve community healthcare access.
At the conclusion of the program, local residents expressed their gratitude to United Cements for organizing the free health camp and demonstrating its commitment to the health and well-being of the community.
General Manager Hari Kumar Upreti also extended his appreciation to the local government, school representatives, and everyone who contributed to the successful organization of the health camp.
