Empowering 10,000 students in robotics & IoT, NSIL 2026 offers hands-on STEM kits, teacher training, and NPR 500,000 in prizes across Nepal.

In a landmark initiative to modernize school-level STEM education in Nepal, Dursikshya Education Network has announced the National Innovation League 2026 (National School Innovation League – NSIL), the country’s largest robotics, IoT, and hands-on innovation competition for school students.
The nationwide event aims to engage over 10,000 students from Grades 3 to 10 in practical projects focused on Robotics, Programming, Electronics, and the Internet of Things (IoT).
NPR 500,000 Cash Prize and Hands-On Support
To motivate young innovators, the National Innovation League 2026 features a grand prize pool of NPR 500,000 (5 Lakhs) in cash awards. Additionally, all participating schools will receive comprehensive Innovation Kits, student workbooks, project guidance, and specialized training for both teachers and students.

Registration for the league is officially open and can be completed online:
Registration Window: July 26 to September 3, 2026 (Shrawan 11 – Bhadra 18, 2083)

Kit Distribution: By mid-September 2026 (End of Bhadra)
Training Launch: September 23, 2026 (Ashoj 7) for teachers and students
Regional Rounds: November & December 2026 across 9 major cities in Nepal
Grand Finale: Kathmandu (featuring top regional winners)
Three Structured League Categories
To ensure age-appropriate challenges, the National Innovation League 2026 is categorized into three distinct tiers:
Base Camp League: Grades 3 to 5 (Foundational mechanics & logic)
Ascent League: Grades 6 to 8 (Intermediate electronics & coding)
Summit League: Grades 9 and 10 (Advanced IoT & system integration)
Students will design technology-driven solutions addressing real-world community challenges and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), fostering both technical competence and social responsibility.
