The NAIMA Nepal Mobility Expo 2026, held at the Bhrikutimandap Exhibition Hall in Kathmandu, enters its final day on Sunday, Saun 31 (August 16). Organized by the Nepal Automobiles Importers and Manufacturers Association (NAIMA), the six-day national automotive exhibition surpassed its targeted attendance milestone of 150,000 visitors within just five days.
Record Visitor Footfall Breakdown
Despite persistent heavy rainfall throughout the event, footfall steadily climbed, reaching a single-day peak of 42,000 visitors on Saturday (Day 5).

The overwhelming surge of visitors on Saturday pushed local parking capacity to its limits. Organizers utilized all open space inside Bhrikutimandap, two floors of the Nepal Police Club, and the nearby Food Warehouse grounds to manage the high volume of attendee vehicles.

The 2026 edition of the expo features over 55 automotive brands displaying electric vehicles (EVs), two-wheelers, and commercial vehicles.
53 New Model Debuts: A total of 53 new vehicle models were introduced during the expo, including the Arcfox Crossover, unveiled on Day 5 by Laxmi Motorhub Pvt. Ltd. (Laxmi Group).
Key Consumer Focus Areas: Visitors actively inquired about EV battery capacity, motor power, driving range, after-sales service, warranty terms, and resale values.
Exclusive Expo Incentives: Exhibitors, banks, and insurance providers provided cash discounts, 1-year free insurance, 1-year free vehicle tax, complimentary servicing, and low-interest vehicle loans.
Yamuna Shrestha, Managing Director of Cimex Inc. (authorized distributor of BYD in Nepal), and Shirish Kumar Murarka, Managing Director of Paramount Motors, both noted that the massive turnout highlights growing public trust in green mobility technologies across Nepal.
