National School Innovation League Expands
The strategic alliance establishes CAN Federation as the official Strategic Partner of the National School Innovation League (NSIL), while designating Dursikshya as the exclusive Robotics Education Partner of CAN Federation.
Key Highlights of the Strategic Alliance
Expanding NSIL: The partnership aims to scale up the National School Innovation League—a premier robotics and innovation competition for students in Grades 3 to 10 across all seven provinces of Nepal, featuring provincial competitions leading to a National Grand Finale in Kathmandu.
Empowering Students and Teachers: Joint initiatives will focus on intensive teacher training programs, student bootcamps, and creating pathways for Nepalese school students to compete in international technology events.
Inclusion of Community Schools: The alliance places a strong emphasis on grassroots impact, ensuring reserved participation quotas, sponsored kits, and specialised training for community and government schools.
Industry Integration: Leveraging CAN Federation’s extensive network of provincial chapters and member enterprises, the partnership connects school-level innovation with professional mentorship, judging panels, internships, and prominent tech expos like CAN Info-Tech.
Leadership Perspectives
Emphasizing the long-term vision of the partnership, CAN Federation Acting President Chiranjibi Adhikari stated:
“The League serves as a catalyst for introducing and sustaining deep, transformational innovation within and across colleges and international borders to increase student success and institutional excellence, making ICT For Excellence.”
Highlighting the core mission of the platform, Krishna Prasad Pandey, Chief Executive Officer of Dursikshya Education Network, noted:
“The primary objectives of the National School Innovation League are to promote hands-on technology learning, bridge the gap between theory and practical application, and inspire young students to build tech-driven solutions for real-world community challenges and Sustainable Development Goals.”
The agreement was formalised in Kathmandu by key representatives of both institutions, including General Secretary Mr. Chandra Bilash Bhurtel for CAN Federation and Executive Director Mr. Mahesh Aryal for Dursikshya. This collaboration marks a transformative step toward instilling critical problem-solving, engineering, and artificial intelligence capabilities in the younger generation, laying a robust foundation for Nepal’s digital future.
