Shaurya Cement Industries Limited based in Siraha has partnered with Helvetas Nepal and the Council for Technical Education and Vocational Training (CTEVT)
Shaurya Cement Apprenticeship Program Partnerships
The partnership is established to implement an industry based apprenticeship program under the INSURE project.
Program Objective and Training Structure
Target Group: Mechanical students from the 2025 to 2027 batch of Lahan Technical School are participating in the program.
Course Structure: After completing six months of theoretical study at the technical school students receive 18 months of practical industrial training at the Shaurya Cement plant.
Key Focus Areas: The practical training covers hands on exposure to mechanical equipment maintenance troubleshooting industrial safety workplace discipline and professional conduct.
Stakeholder Response and Future Commitment
Industry Alignment: Shaurya Cement General Manager Gurudayal Singh stated that the apprenticeship program helps bridge the gap between industry needs and technical education while developing employable technical workers.
Institutional Support: Representatives from CTEVT and Helvetas Nepal commended Shaurya Cement for providing a disciplined learning environment and stressed the need for continued collaboration between industries and technical education providers.
