Citizen Investment Trust Donates NPR 10.1 Million to Prime Minister Disaster Relief Fund

The Citizen Investment Trust (CIT) has provided financial assistance to aid search, rescue, relief, and rehabilitation operations following catastrophic flooding along the Bhotekoshi and Trishuli rivers in Rasuwa district.

Total Contribution: CIT deposited NPR 10.1 million (NPR 1.01 crore) directly into the Prime Minister Disaster Relief Fund.

Official Delegation: CIT Acting Chairman Uttar Kumar Khatri and Executive Director Parbat Kumar Karki formally handed over the contribution check to Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagle.

Handover Participants: CIT Board Member Narayan Prasad Ghimire and Director Shobha Shrestha attended the official ceremony.

Relief Mandate: The financial contribution aims to assist state-led emergency relief, infrastructure restoration, and long-term economic rehabilitation for impacted residents.

Institutional Scope: Financial support was dispatched following heavy loss of life, displacement, and widespread damage to physical property caused by severe river flooding across the Bhotekoshi and Trishuli corridors.
