Hotel Association Nepal Contributes Millions to Prime Minister Disaster Relief Fund

Member hotels of Hotel Association Nepal (HAN) have contributed millions of rupees to the Prime Minister Disaster Relief Fund to support emergency rescue, relief, and rehabilitation operations following the Bhote Koshi floods.

Financial Breakdown of Member Hotel Contributions
Major Corporate Deposits: Hotel Kingsbury provided 11.1 million rupees, Chandragiri Hills contributed 5.251 million rupees, Hotel Mechi Crown deposited 2.6 million rupees, and Hotel Everest added 2 million rupees to the central fund.
Additional Institutional Donations: Ramada Encore Thamel contributed 1,111,111 rupees; Hotel Crown Imperial and Mount Glory Forest Resort & Spa (Orchid Glory Limited) jointly provided 511,111 rupees; Dream Group Butwal contributed 503,000 rupees; and Hotel Sarathi provided 165,000 rupees.
Regional and Hospitality Support: Hotel Ambassador and Club Himalaya each contributed 100,000 rupees, while Hotel Association Nepal, Sindhuli, provided 104,285 rupees. Personal contributions from hotel staff were also pooled into the fund.
Supplementary Relief Mobilization: HAN is collecting additional funds through its central relief mechanism from properties including Airport Hotel, Grand Hotel, Hotel Swagatham, and Hotel Rainforest for direct deployment in impacted regions.
In-Kind Assistance and Humanitarian Initiatives
Direct Relief Material: Member establishments are distributing emergency supplies, including food, clothing, and essential medicines, directly to affected communities and through local government authorities.
Free Lodging and Meals: In coordination with provincial and district chapters, HAN has arranged complimentary room accommodations and meals for family members searching for missing citizens and tourists.
Tourism Coordination and Logistics: Through the assistance center at the Nepal Tourism Board, HAN provides information, logistical coordination, and support to families of missing foreign visitors.
Condolences and Commemoration: The association expressed formal sympathies to bereaved families, wished a rapid recovery for the injured, and announced plans to host a special memorial prayer service for lost lives.
