Hamro Patro Users Contribute NPR 12.5 Million to the Prime Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund

Hamro Patro users raised NPR 12.5 million for Nepal’s Prime Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund, aiding communities affected by recent disasters.
Hamro Patro Users Contribute NPR 12.5 Million
Hamro Patro users have collectively contributed NPR 12.5 million to the Prime Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund. The funds were raised to support relief, recovery, and reconstruction efforts for families and communities affected by the recent devastating disaster in Nepal.
The contribution was formally handed over to the Honorable Finance Minister, Dr. Swarnim Wagle, on behalf of the Hamro Patro community.
Along with the contribution, the names of all donors were submitted to the government. This is intended to ensure that each donor’s contribution is formally recorded and the donation is recognized as a collective effort by the Hamro Patro community.

Hamro Patro facilitated the campaign to make it easier for Nepalis living abroad to contribute to the national relief effort. No service fees were charged for sending donations, ensuring that users’ contributions reached the relief fund in full.
“This NPR 12.5 million represents the collective contribution of our users. Hamro Patro’s role was to help bring their support home,” said Shankar Uprety, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Hamro Patro. “We are deeply grateful for the willingness to help, unity, and generosity shown by Nepalis around the world when Nepal needed support. We sincerely thank every person who contributed, regardless of the amount.”
