Empowering Green Mobility: Sipradi Yatri P2 Electric Scooter Launched in Nepal
Nepal’s electric vehicle landscape has taken a monumental leap forward. Sipradi Yatri has officially announced the pricing and market arrival of its highly anticipated made-in-Nepal electric scooter, the Yatri P2. Designed specifically to tackle the diverse and challenging terrain of the country, the P2 promises a blend of robust engineering, advanced technology, and high performance for both urban commutes and long-distance journeys.
Pricing and Customization Options
The Yatri P2 enters the market with an attractive starting price of Rs. 3,29,900. Moving beyond a one-size-fits-all approach, Sipradi Yatri empowers customers to tailor the scooter to their exact preferences. Buyers can customize their ride by choosing from different battery capacities, color choices, comfort additions, and connectivity packages.
Power, Performance, and Motor Capability
At the heart of the Yatri P2 is a powerful PMSM mid-drive motor, engineered to deliver exceptional performance across various road conditions.
Torque: The motor generates a robust 315 Nm of wheel torque, ensuring effortless climbs on steep inclines.
Thermal Management: An actively-cooled high-power controller maintains steady and reliable performance, specifically preventing overheating during continuous uphill rides.
Built for Nepalese Terrains: Suspension and Safety
Navigating rough and winding roads requires superior hardware. The P2 is built on a high-strength steel chassis paired with a long-travel suspension system and 14-inch wheels to maximize stability and control. For safety, the scooter features dual disc brakes integrated with a Combined Braking System (CBS), providing riders with absolute stopping confidence.
Battery Choices and Fast Charging Ecosystem
Range anxiety is a major concern for EV owners, but the Yatri P2 addresses this with versatile energy solutions:
Battery Options: Riders can choose from three distinct battery configurations based on their daily travel needs.
Extender Pack: For those requiring extended mileage, an optional extender pack provides an additional 50 kilometers of range.
Onboard Charger: The P2 features a built-in onboard charger, meaning riders do not need to carry a bulky separate charging adapter at home. Standard home charging takes less than 2.5 hours depending on the configuration.
DC Fast Charging: For long-distance trips or quick turnarounds, the scooter supports DC fast charging, juicing up the battery in approximately 41 minutes under optimal conditions.
To support long-distance and out-of-city riders, Sipradi Yatri is actively expanding its dedicated charging network across the country.
