Relief Fund Deposits and Government Allocation
The funds are managed under the Prime Minister Disaster Relief Fund and the Prime Minister Relief Fund to support emergency response and disaster mitigation efforts.
- Current Fund Balance: According to the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers, the current total balance across the relief funds stands at 14,889,038,871 rupees.
- Immediate Disbursal: The government has already released 1 billion rupees from the collected funds for immediate relief and rehabilitation operations in flood-affected regions.
Bank Wise Deposit Breakdown
Relief funds are held across multiple commercial banks in both domestic and foreign currency accounts.
- Domestic Currency Deposits: A total of 11,142,050,947 rupees is deposited across nine designated commercial bank accounts.
- Foreign Currency Deposits: US Dollar accounts held at Himalayan Bank and Laxmi Sunrise Bank have collected a combined total of 24,474,121 USD
