National Life Insurance Honors Top Agents and Conducts Training on Anti-Money Laundering, AI, and Digital Marketing

National Life Insurance Company Limited successfully concluded its two-night, three-day annual Chairperson Club program at Hotel Siddhartha Vilasa in Bhairahawa.

The event was organized to honor top-performing insurance agents and distribute Chairperson Club memberships, drawing a total of 565 participants, including qualifying agents for the fiscal year 2082/83, departmental heads, regional managers, branch managers, and marketing staff.
Event Inauguration and Leadership Commitments
The program commenced with a one-minute moment of silence to pay tribute to the victims of the severe floods in the BhoteKoshi region and to express condolences to the bereaved families.
- Formal Inauguration: Company Chairperson Prema Rajya Lakshmi Singh formally inaugurated the event by lighting a traditional lamp.
- Chairperson Address: Describing agents as the backbone of the company, Chairperson Singh expressed her commitment to continuously supporting their professional development, skill enhancement, and leadership capabilities through dedicated investments.
- Chief Executive Officer Statement: Chief Executive Officer Suresh Prasad Khatri stated that the historical business achievement in FY 2082/83 was a collective success of the entire National Life family. He added that the company is moving forward in the new fiscal year with clear targets, measurable strategies, and enhanced professional commitment to strengthen the agency network and service quality.
Agent Felicitations and Awards
Top-performing agents were recognized with special honors during the ceremony.
- Membership Distribution: Chairperson Club memberships were formally conferred upon eligible agents who met the performance criteria.
- Top Performers Recognized: Chairperson Singh presented special awards to nationwide first, second, and third-place winners in both personal code and network sales, as well as qualifiers for the Centurion Club, National Star, National Superstar, and agents achieving Chairperson Club status for ten consecutive years.
Specialized Training Sessions
To enhance the skills and knowledge of the participating agents, expert-led training modules were conducted across several domains.
- Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Compliance: Deputy Director of the Nepal Insurance Authority Padam Prasad Sadari highlighted that insurance channels could be used for money laundering. He urged all stakeholders to remain vigilant, conduct thorough customer due diligence (KYC), and strictly comply with regulatory frameworks.
- Artificial Intelligence (AI) Applications: Trainer Bishwa Raj Poudel demonstrated practical applications of AI tools in the insurance sector, highlighting how technology can optimize customer outreach, content creation, business planning, and information management.
- Digital Marketing Best Practices: Trainer Sanjog Koirala discussed strategies for business expansion in the digital era. He emphasized the importance of full compliance with regulatory standards, cautioning against spreading misleading information and advising agents to share only verified and approved content.
