Nabil Bank Limited has issued an official 35-day public notice instructing listed borrowers, collateral guarantors, and personal guarantors to settle all outstanding loan liabilities.

According to the notice published on September 25, 2026, the bank initiated this public recovery process after the concerned borrowers failed to fulfill their debt service obligations despite repeated written and verbal reminders.
Loan Repayment Demands and Timeline
The commercial bank has set a strict 35-day window for defaulting borrowers and guarantors to clear their total outstanding obligations.
- Total Liability Scope: Demands include the full settlement of overdue principal, accrued interest, penalty interest, and other applicable administrative charges.
- Publication Date: September 25, 2026 (2083/06/09 BS).
- Repayment Deadline: Borrowers and guarantors must contact the bank and clear all dues within 35 days from the notice publication date.
- Option for Guarantors: Guarantors are provided the opportunity to pay off the guaranteed debt within the 35-day notice period to obtain official release from their guarantee obligations and secure the release of pledged collateral.
Legal Actions and Recovery Measures for Non-Compliance
Nabil Bank has outlined multiple legal and regulatory recovery mechanisms that will be initiated if the liabilities remain unpaid after the deadline.
- Collateral Auctioning: The bank will proceed with the public auction and sale of pledged movable and immovable properties provided as collateral.
- Non-Banking Asset Takeover: If collateral assets cannot be sold through public auction, the bank reserves the legal right to acquire the properties as Non-Banking Assets (NBA) or pursue alternative liquidation methods.
- Secondary Asset Seizure: If proceeds from the collateral fail to cover the full debt, the bank will initiate legal proceedings to recover the remaining balance from other personal assets owned by the borrowers and guarantors.
- DRT Litigation: The bank will file debt recovery suits before the Debt Recovery Tribunal (DRT) and other judicial courts.
- Blacklisting Recommendation: Defaults continuing past the notice period will result in immediate recommendation to the Credit Information Center (CIC) to blacklist the borrowers, collateral guarantors, and corporate/personal guarantors.
