Female employees of Kamana Sewa Bikas Bank Limited have distributed personal hygiene and sanitation materials to flood victims from Rasuwa currently staying in holding centers across Kathmandu.

The hygiene supplies were officially handed over on behalf of the bank by Ruby Shrestha from the bank’s Human Resource Department. Recognizing the urgent healthcare and sanitation needs of displaced families following the natural disaster, female staff members organized a collection drive to gather and distribute essential hygiene items.

CSR Initiatives and Financial Relief Contributions

This initiative builds upon the bank’s larger institutional disaster relief contributions aimed at supporting affected communities.

• Previous Financial Support: The bank previously contributed a total of NPR 2.5 million to the Prime Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund for rescue, relief, and rehabilitation efforts following floods in the Bhote Koshi river in Rasuwa.
• Funding Breakdown: The relief total comprised NPR 1 million provided through the bank’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program and NPR 1.5 million contributed voluntarily from one day’s salary of the bank’s employees.
• Holistic Assistance Strategy: Beyond emergency food and shelter, the bank emphasized the importance of maintaining basic personal hygiene and health to support victims during recovery.
• Long-Term Commitment: Kamana Sewa Bikas Bank reaffirmed its commitment to providing continued assistance across disaster management, healthcare, education, and financial literacy through its ongoing CSR programs.
