Gold prices experienced a steep decline in the domestic market on Monday, dropping by NPR 5,000 per tola in a single day.

Gold Prices Drop Sharply 

According to data published by the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association (FENEGOSIDA), fine gold is trading at NPR 294,300 per tola on September 28, 2026 (Ashwin 12, 2083 BS). Silver prices also fell during the same trading session, decreasing by NPR 145 per tola.

Updated Precious Metal Trading Rates

The revised market rates for gold and silver across standard physical weights are outlined below.

• Fine Gold (Per Tola): Dropped by NPR 5,000 to trade at NPR 294,300 per tola.
• Fine Gold (Per 10 Grams): Fixed at NPR 252,315.
• Silver (Per Tola): Decreased by NPR 145 to settle at NPR 4,510 per tola.
• Governing Authority: Official rates were established and released by the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association.
