Nabil Bank Invites Sealed Bids for Auction of Defaulted Loan Collateral

Nabil Bank Limited has issued a 15-day public notice on September 28, 2026, inviting sealed bids for the auction of movable and immovable properties pledged as collateral by defaulting borrowers.

The auction was initiated after the concerned borrowers and guarantors failed to clear their outstanding principal and interest despite repeated verbal and written reminders, as well as a prior 35-day public notice published on April 20, 2025.
Auction Terms, Bidding Process, and Legal Remedies
Interested individuals, firms, companies, and organized institutions can obtain and submit bid forms at Nabil Bank’s Dhulikhel Branch in Kavre during office hours within 15 days from the notice publication date.
Bidding Mechanism: Properties will be sold through a confidential sealed-bid process following applicable banking laws and internal regulations.
Debt Settlement Window: The auction process can be halted if the borrowers or guarantors clear all outstanding dues prior to the scheduled auction date.
Bank Asset Acquisition Clause: If no successful bids are received or if bidders fail to meet auction conditions, the bank reserves the right to acquire the collateral assets directly under prevailing laws.
Further Legal Action: Should auction proceeds fall short of covering the total outstanding balance, Nabil Bank reserves the right to initiate legal proceedings against additional movable and immovable assets of the borrowers and guarantors pursuant to the Bank and Financial Institutions Act, 2073, and the Debt Recovery Act, 2058.
