The race to head Nepal’s lone stock-governing body has heated up. The Ministry of Finance has officially shortlisted four top professionals for the position of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE).
With the leadership seat vacant for a prolonged period, the final selection phase is drawing immense attention from market stakeholders, investors, and financial analysts.
Who Are the Final NEPSE CEO Candidates?
Out of an initial pool of eight applicants who applied following the official vacancy notice issued on Shrawan 12 under the CEO Recommendation Guidelines, 2083, the selection committee (led by Joint Secretary Mahesh Acharya) narrowed down the list.

Interview and Presentation Schedule
The second and final leg of the selection process will test the candidates’ executive capabilities and operational strategies. The shortlist assessment, comprising leadership capability presentations and formal interviews, is scheduled to take place at the Ministry of Finance (Contact Room No. 419).
