Machhapuchchhre Bank Limited has released its unverified financial results for the first quarter of the fiscal year 2083/84 (ending Mid-October 2026), posting strong growth across core operational metrics.

Net Profit and Core Revenue Growth
The expansion in net earnings was primarily supported by solid growth in core net interest income and a significant boost in operational profit.
- Net Profit: Reached NPR 551.15 million, expanding by 31.87 percent year-on-year from NPR 417.96 million in Q1 FY 2082/83.
- Net Interest Income: Rose by 15.60 percent to NPR 1.69 billion, up from NPR 1.46 billion recorded in the baseline quarter.
- Operating Profit: Surged to NPR 860.25 million, compared to NPR 598.43 million in the baseline period.
- Distributable Profit: Turned positive to NPR 112.11 million, reversing from a negative NPR 114.28 million reported in the baseline quarter.
Deposit Mobilization and Lending Expansion
The institution maintained stable balance sheet growth through continuous deposit accumulation and active loan expansion.
- Total Deposit Mobilization: Increased by 2.18 percent to NPR 228.37 billion by the end of the first quarter.
- Total Credit and Advances: Expanded by 12.33 percent to reach NPR 172.65 billion.
Asset Quality Metrics and Per-Share Ratios
- Enhanced credit management led to a drop in non-performing assets while significantly boosting per-share return figures.
- Non-Performing Loan (NPL) Ratio: Improved to 3.97 percent, down from 4.13 percent recorded in Q1 of the previous fiscal year.
- Earnings Per Share (EPS): Climbed to NPR 17.71, up from NPR 13.43 in the baseline quarter.
