15th September 2025, Kathmandu
In a highly anticipated move for the Nepali two-wheeler market, Indian motorcycle giant TVS, through its official distributor Jagdamba Motors, has officially launched a new and advanced variant of its popular Raider motorcycle.
TVS Raider New Motorcycle
The TVS Raider iGO (IntelliGO) was unveiled today, bringing with it a suite of cutting-edge features and a promise of significantly enhanced fuel efficiency. This launch is a strategic step by the company to solidify its position in the competitive 125cc segment.
The new Raider iGO is designed to cater to the modern rider who seeks a blend of sporty aesthetics, robust performance, and smart technology.
The motorcycle’s design maintains the sporty naked street look that has made the Raider a favorite, featuring an aggressive, animalistic LED headlamp and a full LED lighting setup.
However, the core of this new variant’s appeal lies under the hood, with its refined 124.8cc single-cylinder, three-valve, air-and-oil-cooled EFI advanced engine.
This engine delivers a maximum torque of 11.75 Nm at 6000 RPM and is paired with a smooth 5-speed gearbox. The combination allows the bike to achieve an impressive acceleration of 0 to 60 km/h in just 5.8 seconds, making it one of the quickest in its class.
What truly sets the Raider iGO apart is its focus on fuel efficiency. The new variant incorporates two groundbreaking technologies: IntelliGO iGO Assist and EcoThrust FI system.
According to the company, the IntelliGO iGO Assist technology provides a 10% boost in efficiency compared to other Raider variants. This is complemented by the EcoThrust FI system, which further enhances the motorcycle’s overall mileage by an impressive 15%.
This makes the Raider iGO a highly economical choice for daily commuters who want to save on fuel costs without compromising on performance.
Beyond its engine, the TVS Raider iGO is a tech powerhouse. It features a colorful reverse LCD TFT console that offers over 85 connected features.
Riders can manage calls, use voice assist, and utilize navigation through the Hyper Smart Connect feature. The motorcycle also includes a single-touch button operation, a Glide Through Traffic system for effortless low-speed riding, an ISG silent starter for smooth and quiet ignition, and an engine cut-off feature.
The inclusion of three distinct riding modes—Eco, Boost, and Power—gives riders the flexibility to switch between maximum fuel efficiency and peak performance depending on their needs.
In terms of hardware, the iGO variant is well-equipped for Nepal’s varied road conditions. It comes with telescopic forks at the front and an adjustable mono-shock suspension at the rear, ensuring a comfortable and stable ride.
The braking system consists of a front disc and rear drum brake, supported by the SBT (Synchronized Braking Technology) system for enhanced safety and control. The roto-petal brake disc adds to the bike’s sporty look and effective braking.
While the current top variant of the TVS Raider is priced at NPR 2,99,900, Jagdamba Motors has indicated that the new Raider iGO will be priced higher, with an expected increase of NPR 20,000 to 25,000.
This reflects the premium technology and advanced features packed into the new model. The launch of the Raider iGO underscores TVS’s commitment to innovation and to providing Nepali consumers with technologically advanced and feature-rich motorcycles.
This new variant is poised to become a game-changer in the 125cc segment, appealing to a wide range of riders from daily commuters to tech-savvy enthusiasts.
