Kelvin Songaila, a thirteen-year-old boy, from Damak-8, Jhapahas successfully made and tested a flying drone. The boy had already made more than a half a dozen instruments and devices until now.

Recently, Sangraulahas also made a flying drone in a time frame of three months which can carry around 2kg of weight. This creation by Sangraula truly clarifies the meaning and emotion of the sentence “Never Give Up’.

The drone created by Sangraula is connected to an audio UNO (microcontroller), Brush-less motor, propeller, counter-clockwise, clockwise, ESC (Electronic Speed Controller), and a Gyro sensor. Sangraula revealed that he went through a number of failures before finally becoming successful and creating the final version of the drone.

Kelvin’s father has informed that only Rs.25000 was needed to create the drone. Till now, Kelvin had already made a simple block robot, a wired remote control car, a Bluetooth controlled car, a barrier removable robot, and a line following the robot.

According to Kelvin’s father, it took about three months for the invention of the drone. Moreover, before the completion of the drone, Kelvin had almost forgotten about his daily routine. Now, that the drone is complete he is extremely happy.

Kelvin is the class 7 student of AaksharaSchool of Kandaghhari. His aims to be a scientist in the future. We believe with his current profile of inventions at just 13 years of age, he will have no problem in achieving his dream.

An interesting fact: Kelvin is a YouTube learner. He learned how to programme and create all his inventions / devices from YouTube.
