Digital Signatures Survey and Best Practices Guide started by Computer Association of Nepal (CAN) Federation.
According to the Electronic Transactions Act 2063 (2008) for establishing legalities for electronic transactions, the Government of Nepal is developing an essential public infrastructure (PKI) for issuing digital signatures/ certificates, the purpose of which is to reduce the time and cost resulting from documentary transactions that currently require a physical signature.
For this purpose, IFC is conducting a baseline study to systematically document the time and costs associated with signed documentary transactions before the adoption of digital signature across a variety of critical sales targeted for reform in Nepal.
