In a landmark move to bridge the gap between academia and industry, Aadim College and Tokma Technologies Pvt. Ltd. have entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to promote skill development, innovation, and research within Nepal’s rapidly growing technology sector.
MoU Signing Ceremony in Kathmandu
The MoU signing ceremony was held in Kathmandu, where Mr. Shankar Prasad Sharma, Principal of Aadim College, and Mr. Sagar Angedmbe, Director of Tokma Technologies Pvt. Ltd., formally signed the agreement on behalf of their respective institutions. The event was witnessed by Mr. Bhim Bahadur Saud, Business Development Manager at Aadim College.
This strategic alliance is designed to provide students with meaningful exposure to industry through internships, collaborative research projects, curriculum enhancement, skill-building workshops, and expert-led sessions. Furthermore, the MoU outlines initiatives such as hackathons, innovation challenges, and employment pathways that aim to prepare students for dynamic and competitive real-world technology environments.
CAN Federation Leadership Endorses the Initiative
Mr. Chiranjibi Adhikari, Vice President of the Federation of Computer Association Nepal (CAN Federation) and CEO of One Cover Pvt. Ltd., praised the partnership, stating: “An alliance for impact — Aadim College and Tokma Technologies, under our collective vision, are embarking on a skill-focused academic-industry partnership aimed at nurturing industry-ready talent to meet the evolving needs of Nepal’s ICT sector.”

Highlighting the importance of practical exposure in education, Principal Shankar Prasad Sharma remarked: “This MoU marks a significant milestone in our continued commitment to equip students with hands-on knowledge, making them capable and competitive in Nepal’s and the global digital economy.”
Key Objectives of the MoU
Under the three-year agreement, the institutions have outlined the following core commitments:
Aadim College Will:
Nominate eligible students for internships, live projects, and collaborative research.
1. Provide academic, infrastructural, and logistical support.
2. Engage faculty in curriculum development and joint initiatives.
Tokma Technologies Will:
1. Facilitate hands-on internships and R&D opportunities.
2. Deliver guest lectures, mentorship programs, and industry insight sessions.
3. Collaborate in reviewing the curriculum and hosting joint events.
Envisioned Impact on Nepal’s IT and Higher Education Sectors
The MoU is initially set for a three-year term with the potential for extension upon mutual agreement. Both Aadim College and Tokma Technologies are confident that this collaboration will foster innovation, accelerate academic-industry synergy, and produce graduates equipped with future-ready digital skills, contributing significantly to Nepal’s ambition of becoming a regional IT hub.
