The Agriculture Development Bank Employee Union Nepal hosted a blood donation event to celebrate the 58th anniversary of the Agriculture Development Bank.

Agriculture Development Blood Donation Drive

The event took place at the bank’s headquarters on January 18, with additional blood drives held in Birendranagar, Chitwan, and Sudurpaschim Province, Dhangadhi. The union plans to organize more blood donation events across Nepal throughout the month of Magh.

Blood Donation for a Noble Cause

The primary aim of the blood donation campaign was to address the shortage of blood and reduce the suffering caused by it. The union also focused on encouraging a sense of social responsibility and service within the community.

A total of 206 units of blood were collected, with 101 units from the headquarters, 35 units from Birendranagar, and 35 units from Sudurpashchim Province. The donated blood will be distributed to hospitals to help meet the ongoing demand.

Key Guests at the Event

At the headquarters event, Punya Prasad Nepal, President of the Professional Federation of Nepal, attended as the chief guest. Other prominent guests included Dharmaraj Mainali, President of the Insurance Financial Institutions Employees Union Nepal, Lila Jisi, and senior officials from the Agriculture Development Bank, such as the CEO, branch managers, staff, and customers.

Promoting Humanitarian Participation

President Nepal praised the union’s initiative, highlighting the significance of collective participation in humanitarian causes. He encouraged the continuation of such social campaigns in the future.

Umesh Prasai, a member of the union, spoke about how the campaign provided relief to patients and helped enhance the union’s reputation. Secretary Sandeep Regmi coordinated the event, while Chairperson Suresh Kshetri expressed gratitude to everyone who contributed to the program’s success.

This blood donation event is part of the union’s ongoing dedication to social responsibility and community service.
