Alumni Donation Gorkha: Shree Mahendra Shakti Secondary School Students Receive Warm Clothes

The 65th Anniversary and Parents’ Day of Shree Mahendra Shakti Secondary School in Bakrang, Shahid Lakhan Rural Municipality-1, was celebrated with a meaningful tribute to the school’s legacy.

The event highlighted a heartwarming initiative by the school’s alumni, who returned to their roots to support current students through a “Warm Clothes Distribution” program.
Chief Guest Education Officer Rajendra Khanal Applauds Alumni Initiative
The ceremony was graced by Chief Guest Rajendra Khanal, the local Education Officer, who spoke highly of the emotional bond between the school and its former students.
“It is truly exemplary to see former Nepalese students return to the very place that built the foundation of their lives,” said Khanal. “This initiative of distributing warm clothes is a noble act that directly impacts the students’ well-being and learning environment.”
Khanal emphasized that such collaborations between schools and alumni are crucial for the long-term educational and physical development of local institutions. He congratulated the award-winning students and wished the school continued progress.
Management Report by Chairperson Ratna Bahadur Ale
Presiding over the event, the School Management Committee Chairperson, Ratna Bahadur Ale, presented a comprehensive progress report. His report outlined:

Future Strategies: Plans for infrastructure upgrades and digital learning.
Faculty Appreciation: Ale expressed deep gratitude toward the teachers, acknowledging their tireless dedication as the backbone of the school’s success.
A “Warm Gift” from the Heart: The Alumni Contribution
Under the coordination of Mina Aryal, a group of 21 dedicated alumni members provided high-quality sweaters to 50 students. Aryal, who had visited the school after a two-decade absence, shared an emotional perspective on the project.
“We walked out of these gates 20 years ago with dreams in our eyes,” Aryal shared. “Returning today is more than a reunion; it’s about giving back to the soil that raised us. This gift is a token of love and blessings from the elder brothers and sisters to the younger ones.”
The initiative was made possible through a month-long digital campaign that united batchmates living across Nepal and abroad, including contributors like Mina Aryal, Rishi Aryal, Gyan Hari Aryal, and many others.
Celebrating Legacy and Looking Forward
The anniversary also featured significant community contributions:
Shanta Pandey donated a water dispenser in memory of her late father, Tika Prasad Pandey.
Parat Bahadur Thapa provided essential stationery to the students.
Honoring Educators: The school held a farewell and honor ceremony for retired teachers Birbal Sirmal and Jit Bahadur Thapa.
The event concluded with vibrant cultural performances by the students and the distribution of prizes for extracurricular excellence. The school administration, led by Principal Prakash Aryal, noted that such selfless acts of kindness ensure that the “Shree Mahendra Shakti family” remains strong and connected across generations.
