Asia Pacific Internet Governance Academy (APIGA) 2025 Opens Applications for Young Leaders in APAC

The Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) has officially opened applications for the Asia Pacific Internet Governance Academy (APIGA) 2025. This prestigious five-day Internet governance training program will be hosted in Busan, Republic of Korea, from 18 to 22 August 2025.

Co-hosted by ICANN and the Korea Internet & Security Agency (KISA), APIGA is designed to empower young individuals aged 18 to 35 from across the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region with foundational knowledge and skills in Internet Governance (IG).

Since its inception in 2016, APIGA has been a premier platform for developing future leaders in Internet policy and governance. The immersive program features:

In-depth sessions on Internet Governance fundamentals

Mentoring from top regional experts

Hands-on workshops and simulations

Networking opportunities with IG professionals, alumni, and institutions like ICANN, IETF, APNIC, ISOC, and more

Notably, 1 in 4 APIGA alumni continue to participate in Internet Governance forums at local, regional, or global levels.

Who Can Apply?

The opportunity is open to individuals between 18 and 35 years old who reside in the APAC region and are passionate about the future of the Internet.
