Apple Promises To Repair I Phone 6 Plus

Have you ever noticed that photos were taken from iPhone 6 Plus back camera comes out all blurred? Well, Apple has acknowledged that its iSight camera has been affected by a manufacturing defect. iSight camera is located at the back of the iPhone 6 Plus.

So, the company will replace the defect camera in the affected device, if eligible, for free.

Apple has confirmed that this problem is in a small percentage of iPhone 6 Plus units between September 2014 to January 2015 which falls under a limited serial number range.

If your iPhone device is also exhibiting the same defect of blurry photos, then you will have to enter your serial code to see if your device is eligible for the replacement. If yes, you can arrange for a replacement by contacting an authorized Apple Service Provider. You will need to make an appointment at an Apple Retail Store and contact Apple Technical Support.

But remember Apple is only replacing the iSight camera component, not the entire device itself.

This replacement program may be restricted or limited to the original country or region of purchase. It will, however, cover the affected iPhone 6 Plus iSight camera for 4 years after the sale of the unit.

Apple is encouraging its users to take pro-active line which is highly preferable. To prepare for the replacement you will need to back up any data to your iTunes or iCloud account. Although free of charge, in some cases where the device might already have a cracked screen, some additional cost may be associated with the repair.
