22nd May 2025, Kathmandu
The Asia Pacific Regional Internet Governance Forum (APrIGF) 2025 has officially launched its call for session proposals, inviting the community to contribute to shaping the program agenda.
APrIGF 2025 Session Proposals Open
Interested individuals and organizations are encouraged to submit their proposals by the strict deadline of July 4, 2025, at 23:59 UTC.
This year, the Program Committee has emphasized that no deadline extensions will be granted, having provided a longer application window instead. This decision aims to ensure a timely and efficient review process.
APrIGF 2025 welcomes diverse perspectives and contributions under its overarching theme and thematic tracks, details of which are available on its official platform.
In a move to ensure inclusivity and accessibility, persons with disabilities who encounter challenges with the online submission form can contact sec@aprigf.asia for alternative submission methods.
Hybrid Event Model:
APrIGF 2025 will operate under a hybrid model, and session organizers are required to indicate their preferred format when submitting their proposals. Options include:
Onsite at the venue (with an online moderator for remote participants’ questions and comments).
Online only (with an onsite facilitator to assist with questions from the floor).
Offsite from the venue at a local hub (with an online moderator for remote participants’ questions and comments).
Successful session organizers will receive logistical details and participate in a briefing session to ensure the smooth execution of their sessions.
The call for proposals also outlines important sections regarding session formats, program timeline, evaluation criteria, responsibilities of session organizers, external resources, successful session submission examples, and post-session evaluation, in addition to an FAQ section.
Community participation is crucial in making APrIGF 2025 a comprehensive and impactful event for Internet governance in the Asia Pacific region.
