The Asia-Pacific Regional Internet Governance Forum (APrIGF) 2024 will feature a groundbreaking workshop titled “Connected Resilience: Gendered Experiences of Meaningful Connectivity,” organized by the Global Digital Inclusion Partnership (GDIP).

This workshop will be an official side event of APrIGF 2024, aligning with the forum’s theme, “Evolving Ecosystems, Enduring Principles: Shaping Responsible Internet Governance.”

Workshop Overview

The 2.5-hour interactive session will dive into the findings from the Connected Resilience research, which examines the gendered experiences of meaningful connectivity during the global pandemic. By highlighting the challenges and opportunities in achieving gender digital inclusion, the workshop aims to inform policy decisions and promote collaborative efforts toward building more equitable and resilient digital ecosystems.

Audience and Participation

The workshop is expected to draw a diverse audience, including policymakers, business leaders, civil society representatives, researchers, and advocates for digital inclusion. Participants will have the opportunity to share their perspectives, engage in discussions, and contribute to the development of actionable strategies to close the gender digital divide.
