1st September 2025, Kathmandu
A new chapter has been written in the story of Nepal’s burgeoning tech industry, as the Nepali-founded software company, Aqore, has been officially recognized as one of America’s Fastest-Growing Private Companies.
Aqore Software Company
This prestigious accolade comes from the highly respected U.S. business magazine, Inc., in its 2025 annual Inc. 5000 report. The recognition is a significant milestone, underscoring not just Aqore’s remarkable success but also the potential of Nepali entrepreneurs to compete and excel on the global stage.
Aqore, a company registered in both Nepal and the U.S., was co-founded in 2019 by two visionary young Nepali engineers, Sandeep Acharya and Samar Basnet.
Their ambition was to create sophisticated staffing and human resource software specifically for the competitive American market. In just a few short years, their efforts have yielded extraordinary results.
The 2025 Inc. 5000 list, which ranks companies based on their three-year revenue growth, placed Aqore at an impressive 302nd position out of 5,000 surveyed IT and software firms. This remarkable ranking is a direct result of Aqore’s reported 155% revenue growth over the past three years.
The company’s success is a testament to its dual-location model, with offices in New Baneshwor, Kathmandu, and Texas, USA. This structure allows Aqore to leverage a talented workforce in Nepal while remaining close to its primary customer base in the U.S.
The company currently employs around 170 people, a workforce spread across both countries, demonstrating a successful synergy that is becoming a model for other Nepali startups. Aqore’s core product is a comprehensive staffing software solution that utilizes AI-based workforce management.
It helps American staffing companies streamline critical operations, from employee recruitment, training, and work hour tracking to payroll, performance evaluations, and shift management.
Sandeep Acharya, CEO and co-founder of Aqore, expressed his pride in the achievement, attributing it to a combination of customer trust, strong teamwork, and an unwavering commitment to quality.
He emphasized that this recognition is a turning point for the Nepali IT sector, signaling a shift from a reliance on outsourcing to becoming a producer of high-value, competitive software products.
“Earlier, software was thought to be built only in America, while Nepal was seen only as an outsourcing hub,” Acharya stated. “Today, our products are being used directly by U.S. companies. This is not just our success but a matter of pride for Nepal’s entire IT industry.”
Aqore is not shying away from setting its sights even higher. The company operates in a massive U.S. market, which is home to over 30,000 staffing companies. Acharya’s ambitions are bold and clear.
He has his sights set on surpassing his former company, Avionté, the second-largest U.S. staffing software firm, which he himself helped to sell in 2014.
With industry giants like Bullhorn Software leading the market with approximately NPR 40 billion in annual revenue and Avionté at around NPR 17 billion, Aqore’s goal to become a global leader is a formidable but not impossible challenge. “Our ultimate goal is to become number one in the world,” Acharya affirmed. “Within 6–7 years, we aim to surpass Avionté.”
This achievement by Aqore is a beacon of hope and a powerful source of inspiration for a new generation of Nepali entrepreneurs.
It proves that with innovation, strategic vision, and a global mindset, a startup from Nepal can not only compete with the best but also be celebrated among the fastest-growing companies in the world’s largest economy.
Aqore’s success story will undoubtedly motivate countless others to dream bigger and to build their own global success stories from the heart of Nepal. The country’s IT sector is no longer just a service provider; it is an innovator and a force to be reckoned with on the international stage.
