Automobile Association Concludes AGM
This pivotal assembly was focused on internal strengthening and crucial policy discussions for the organization. NADA reported a historic and enthusiastic participation from its member base.
NADA confirmed a massive turnout for the session. Out of 1,548 currently renewed members, an overwhelming 1,483 members were physically present. This high attendance underscores the significance of the meeting and the engagement of the Nepali automobile sector.
The Association ensures that it conducted the entire process in coordination with the District Administration Office, its regulatory body. All prevailing legal provisions were strictly followed as per the office’s directive.
NADA clarified its decision regarding media attendance. The Bandha Satra is strictly an internal process of the institution. Due to this internal focus, media representatives were not invited to the assembly. This measure was taken to facilitate candid and detailed discussions among members.
Key Decisions and Strategic Roadmapping
The meeting involved extensive deliberation on several organizational agendas and formal work procedures. Key proposals were passed unanimously by the assembly.
Members engaged in a serious debate. They successfully passed a definitive roadmap for the Association’s future. The key areas of focus include:
-
Institutional Policy: Shaping the guidelines for NADA’s operations moving forward.
-
Organizational Structure: Discussing potential refinements for a more efficient operation.
-
Transparency: Passing guidelines to ensure greater openness in NADA’s functions.
-
Future Strategy: Setting a clear long-term direction for the entire Automobile Association.
A constructive exchange of ideas was observed. Discussions centered around professional collaboration, safeguarding business rights, and the responsible conduct of the automobile entrepreneurs.
New Leadership Election Announced
A major outcome of the AGM was the decision regarding the next executive leadership. The assembly has officially set the date for the election of the new Executive Committee. The election will be held on Poush 25, 2082 B.S. This date corresponds to January 9, 2026.
The upcoming election is critical. It will determine the leadership responsible for executing the newly passed strategic roadmap and representing the interests of the burgeoning Nepali automobile market. The election process is highly anticipated by all stakeholders.
In addition to the election, the members discussed the necessity and justification of forming a Federation. A proposal to incorporate the entity into a Federation, subject to compliance with prevailing laws, was successfully passed by NADA.
This move signals a potential expansion of NADA’s influence and scope. This new structure could better represent the diverse interests within the mobility and automotive sector. It will enhance the collective bargaining power and visibility of the industry. The decision reflects the growing maturity and complexity of the Automobile Association’s mandate.
