Azerbaijan Support Nepal Healthcare: Financial Aid & Medical Exchange Program in Kathmandu

Leyla Aliyeva, daughter of the President of Azerbaijan, visited the Kshetrapati Free Clinic on Friday evening. She led a 10-member delegation to Nepal, arriving on Thursday night by chartered flight. Her visit to the clinic was a part of her sudden inspection program.
Azerbaijan Support Nepal Healthcare
At the clinic, Ms. Aliyeva observed the medical services firsthand. She interacted with doctors, nurses, and staff members. She also signed the guestbook to mark her visit.
Financial Support Handed Over
During her visit, Leyla Aliyeva provided financial support worth NPR 500,000 (approximately USD 3,800) to the clinic. She handed over the assistance directly to the hospital team. Her contribution aims to strengthen the services offered by the Kshetrapati Free Clinic.
This financial aid has been welcomed by the clinic, which provides free healthcare services to many needy patients in Kathmandu.
Agreement for Medical Exchange
Along with the donation, a new agreement was reached. Doctors and health workers from Azerbaijan and Nepal will now participate in an exchange program. This initiative will help both sides share skills, knowledge, and experiences.
The exchange program is expected to begin soon. Both the clinic and Azerbaijani officials believe it will improve healthcare quality and build stronger medical ties.
Further Support Promised
Ms. Aliyeva also promised additional support for the clinic. She announced that a technical team from Azerbaijan would arrive on Monday. The team will study the clinic’s needs in detail. Based on their findings, more long-term support will be planned.
