Bishakha Lakshmi Khadka, Head of Ncell’s Corporate Communications and CSR has been honored with the prestigious Women’s Tabloid Awards 2024 under the category of ‘Best Woman Sustainability Leader-Telecom’ by Women’s Tabloid, a UK-based publication.

The Award serves as a tribute to her extraordinary accomplishments and influences in the industry. This recognition is a testament to the significant, impact-driven social initiatives that Ncell, as a responsible corporate citizen, has championed over the years in areas such as Health, Education, Environment, Disaster Response & Preparedness, and more.
“This is our team Ncell’s consolidated efforts and our impact-driven social efforts have been recognized in the international forum. With the launch of the Ncell Foundation, we are committed to continuing our journey of creating positive and lasting change in our communities via social initiatives, contributing to the socio-economic development, and supporting the government in achieving Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs),” said Khadka.
Ncell has implemented over 100 projects nationwide, impacting more than 13 million Nepalis directly and indirectly. Key initiatives include the landscaping and greening of the 10.2 km-long Koteshwor-Kalanki stretch of the Ring Road, a Telemedicine and Health Informatics Programme in collaboration with Dhulikhel Hospital, the establishment of 60 high-tech IT Digital Labs in government schools, and the 18 for 18 social initiatives covering all provinces.
On the occasion of its 19th anniversary, Ncell also announced the launch of the 19 for 19 project, in which the Ncell Foundation will carry out 19 social projects at the community level across all seven provinces. Since its inception, the company has contributed over Rs. 2 billion to social projects and has received more than a dozen national and international awards for its contributions to socio-economic development through social projects.
