Bharat Raj Acharya has been nominated as a member of the Executive Committee of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI).

The appointment was made by FNCCI President Chandra Prasad Dhakal in accordance with the provisions outlined under Section (s) of Article 34.1 and Article 34.6 of the FNCCI statute, which define the procedure for selecting and appointing members to the Executive Committee. These sections of the statute ensure that appointments are made in a structured manner, in line with the organization’s governance policies, and contribute to strengthening FNCCI’s leadership team.
Acharya Takes on Treasurer Role
In addition to his position on the Executive Committee, Acharya has been named the Treasurer of FNCCI. President Dhakal made this nomination, and Acharya will serve for the remainder of the term.
Acharya had previously contested and lost the Associate Vice-President position during the recent FNCCI elections. However, his new appointment reflects his continued involvement in the organization.
Filling a Long-Vacant Role
The position of Treasurer had been vacant for 18 months, following the completion of the term of the previous Treasurer, Niraj KC. According to the FNCCI statute, President Dhakal selected Acharya from among three central members eligible to fill the role.
