In order to support the bereaved family of the migrant workers who lost their lives during their employment in the countries of destination from covid-19, IME established Bharosa Kosh has started to distribute the support amount to the applicants.
The bharosa Kosh fund distribution is inaugurated by the chairman of IME Group and newly elected Senior Vice president of FNCCI Chandra Prasad Dhakal, and managing director of IME Group, Hemraj Dhakal, Suman Pokharel- Ceo of IME Limited, and Brand ambassadors of IME, Deepak Raj Giri, and Deepa Shree Niraula. All of them jointly handed over the Cheque to 7 applicants from Kathmandu. All applicants will receive the support amount through the IME PAY app by the end of Poush, 2077.
In his speech at the inauguration, Chairman Chandra Prasad Dhakal Said, “Bharosa Kosh is established in order to address the social and economic welfare of the migrant worker’s family.” Hemraj Dhakal added, “The beneficiary somehow will get the confidence to overcome the vicious grief caused by the global pandemic from the bharosa Kosh.” Also, Suman Pokharel said, “We are delighted that the objective to reach each family member of the deceased migrant workers through bharosa Kosh has been fulfilled”. Deepak Raj Giri added that the philanthropic work done by IME is commendable and this type of activity will upgrade the social value in the society”. And Deepa Shree Niraula concluded “though this bharosa Kosh happened to be moral and socio-economic support made to the family members, the void of losing a family member can never be fulfilled. So, she is deeply saddened for the loss of the bereaved family and thankful for the exemplary act of philanthropy for the entire private sector. “
The application was open for interested relatives in Nepal of Nepali workers who died abroad due to COVID-19 from January 1 to October 16, 2020 (16th Poush 2076 to 30th Ashoj 2077). The required details were provided by the close relatives at IME Group’s central office at Panipokhari, Kathmandu, and provincial offices in all provinces. Arrangements were made in the offices to apply till 15th Mangshir, 2077 BS.
