Bikash Hydropower Limited is set to open its Initial Public Offering (IPO) to the general public starting Ashadh 18, 2082 (July 2, 2025). This marks the company’s second phase of share issuance. The first phase allocated shares to project-affected locals and Nepali workers abroad.

The company received approval from the Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON) to issue 49% of its paid-up capital. This amounts to 4.45 million shares priced at NPR 100 each, totaling NPR 445 million.
Previously, the firm allotted 909,101 shares to locals impacted by the project and 354,550 shares to overseas Nepali workers. Additionally, 70,910 shares are reserved for employees and 177,275 shares for mutual funds.
The remaining 2.94 million shares will be available for public subscription. Investors can apply for a minimum of 10 shares and a maximum of 10,000 shares.
The IPO subscription will close by Ashadh 22 (July 6, 2025), but may extend to Ashadh 32 (July 16) if subscription targets are unmet. However, early full subscription is expected.
Prabhu Capital Limited manages the IPO and sales process. Applicants can apply through all ASBA-member banks and financial institutions. Online applications are also accepted via the Mero Share platform.
This IPO will help Bikash Hydropower raise funds for its hydropower projects. It also invites the public to invest in Nepal’s growing renewable energy sector and contribute to sustainable development.
